Argentina
Argentina has arisen from the depths of the 2001 crisis to post strong
fiscal indicators in 2006 thanks in part to an export-led industry
drive
which has seen the economy experience an 8% increase each year.
President Kirchner and his government have succeeded in turning
Argentina’s fortunes around in gaining the trust of the people,
managing
inflation and also the worrying levels of national debt. The leading
sectors have contributed to this new found optimism in sustaining
and improving economic growth. Argentina is rich in natural resources
and the tourism, agricultural and manufacturing sectors have been
largely
responsible for the recovery in capitalising on global supply and
demand
of products such as Soy, emphasised by the recent partnerships with
China and Asia. Argentina has accomplished a great deal post 2001
but there is still a lot of work to be done, making it an emerging
market
magnet for companies wishing to take advantage of the improving
investment conditions |
